Community Midwives

The Community Midwife is responsible for antenatal and early postnatal care. The midwife organises parentcraft classes and home visits and has a weekly antenatal clinic where she works in close liaision with the doctors and the local Maternity Unit. She is available for advice in all aspects of maternity care and you may contact her through the surgery.

Community Nurses

The District Nurse Team provide nursing care to patients in their home and gives practical advice or assistance to patients, relatives and carers coping with illness at home. To contact them please telephone the surgery.

Health Visitors

The Health Visitors visit families with young children at home to discuss all aspects of child care, especially in the first few weeks of the baby’s life and are also available in clinic sessions at the surgery. The Health Visitors can be seen at the baby clinic here on Tuesdays between 10 & 12.15 by appointment.
