COVID-9 AND OUR SURGERY
If you have had any contact with the surgery over the last week or two, you are likely to have noticed a marked difference in the way things are being done. We have done this to minimise face to face contact between patients and staff, limit the spread of the Covid-19 virus and keep our practice team and patients as well as possible. Please click on the link below as this will explain how we plan to operate over the coming weeks:
Please telephone between 8.00 am – 6.00 pm Monday to Friday Surgery is closed between 12.30 – 1.30 pm
THE PRACTICE OPERATES EXTENDED HOURS, FOR ROUTINE BOOKED APPOINTMENTS ONLY. NO OTHER SERVICES ARE AVAILABLE WITHIN THESE HOURS. FOR FURTHER DETAILS PLEASE SPEAK TO THE RECEPTIONISTS.
Please telephone as soon as possible after 8.00 am. If the problem is an emergency needing a doctor straight away, please make this completely clear to the receptionist.
In some circumstance (collapse, unconsciousness) you may wish to telephone the ambulance at the same time.
Talking to a Doctor on the Telephone: If you wish to speak to a Doctor by phone, please call at the end of morning surgery. A receptionist will be able to organise it for you.
Talking to a Nurse on the Telephone: Nurse advise is also available by telephone, for travel advice, general health advice, management of minor ailments and to discuss appropriate test results e.g. smears, swabs and some test results. Nurses are generally available to speak to at the end of morning surgery.
